Support Wound Healing

Recommend 2 packets of Juven® per day

Juven: Targeted Nutrition for Optimal Wound Healing1
Therapeutic nutrition intervention can support the healing of pressure injuries and wounds caused by trauma or surgery.

Juven is a therapeutic nutrition powder that has been clinically shown to support wound healing by enhancing collagen production in as little as 2 weeks.1,2,* Collagen formation is critical in the wound healing process. Not only do collagen proteins give structural support to cells, but they also modulate inflammatory cell function. Collagen proteins are crucial in cell adhesion, cell migration, tissue morphogenesis, tissue repair and more.

The impact of nonhealing wounds

Malnutrition and the associated loss of lean body mass can slow wound healing.Chronic nonhealing wounds, like pressure injuries, create serious health issues, such as: constant pain for up to 80% of patients 10; infectious complications 11; and mortality, osteomyelitis, and sepsis.11 Additionally, poor nutrition contributes to the development of 61% of pressure injuries.13 Nutrition intervention with oral nutrition supplements like Juven supports the healing of chronic nonhealing wounds and pressure injuries,13,† in addition to the wound types listed above.

* Studied in both healthy elderly and patients with diabetic foot ulcers, taking 2 servings per day, as measured by hydroxyproline levels.
Per 2019 National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel Guidelines.
